An ideal place to spend monsoons with your better-half, the Athirappilly Waterfalls are the largest falls in Kerala. The sizzling silver water droplets fall down into the lush green forest, which is home to species like Great Indian Hornbill, Cochin Forest Cane Turtle and the Nilgiri Langur. Appropriately called the ‘Niagara in India’.

Location: Athirappilly , Chalakudy Taluk , Thrissur District , kerala , India.

Best Time To Visit: June to September, i.e. the monsoons.

How To Reach: The nearest airport is Kochi International Airport. The waterfall is nearly 30 kms. from the Chalakudi Railway Station.
